A car crashed into the teen in Waterbury on Friday, Sept. 27, just before 7:15 p.m. on Watertown Avenue. Police said they were hit while walking in the roadway, but it's unclear if they were in a crosswalk.

The teen's name was not released.

A 75-year-old man, who was driving the car, and his 73-year-old female passenger were not injured in the crash, Watertown police said.

The crash remains under investigation, Waterbury Police Lt. Ryan Bessette said, and no charges have been filed as of Monday, Sept. 30.

The crash closed Watertown Avenue from Kaynor Drive and Madeline Avenue for several hours.
